The gap we close

Built around the challenges you told us matter most.

"Feedback lives in emails, hallway conversations, and end-of-term forms."

SharedGround™ captures everyday supervisory feedback in one shared placement record.

“Clinical feedback happens every day, but programs lack a timely way to track progress toward required competencies.”

AI-assisted competency mapping gives programs timely visibility into student progress.

"Students hear what to work on when there’s little time left to work on it."

Students receive timely feedback and targeted learning resources while there's still time to improve.

One Placement, Three Perspectives

Each person sees what they need. Everyone works from the same record.

Perspective 1 of 3

Clinical Supervisor

Give feedback in the moment, then get back to the patient.

  • Clinical skills update

Dictate or type an observation, answer one quick question about guidance and involvement, then confirm and send.

  • Mapped to CFCC skills

SharedGround™ identifies the skills in each update, so your words become evaluation evidence.

  • Progress & review and Feedback history

See each student’s development and every update you’ve sent across the placement.

  • Need support? Contact the program

Request program involvement directly from an update when a student needs more help.

For program directors

From everyday clinical feedback to meaningful student development and program insight.

Every placement day produces observations. SharedGround™ turns them into a continuous, competency-aligned record — so programs can support students early and evaluate with evidence, not only at midterm and final.

  1. STEP 1

    Capture supervisor feedback

Clinical supervisors send skill updates from their phones during the placement day.

    Clinical skills updatePhone
  2. STEP 2

    Map feedback to clinical competencies

Each update is tied to CFCC-aligned skill areas, so evidence builds where it belongs.

  3. STEP 3

    Support targeted student development

Students see feedback while it matters and practice the specific skill in the Interactive Practice Library.

    Generate structured evaluation data

An evaluation evidence checklist (PDF) and a CSV skills inventory give programs documentation-ready records.

Built on Customer Discovery

Informed by the people who live clinical education.

SharedGround™ has been informed by NSF I-Corps customer discovery conversations with clinical educators, supervisors, students, and other stakeholders.

Those conversations helped shape a platform focused on everyday challenges: making supervisory feedback more useful, student support more timely, and clinical progress more visible.

About the founder

Lisa Tafuro, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, founder of SharedGround™

Built by a clinician, for clinicians.

SharedGround™ was founded by Lisa Tafuro, Ph.D., CCC-SLP — a speech-language pathologist with over 25 years of clinical and academic experience.

Her experience as a clinical supervisor and university program director motivated her to develop a platform that better connects the people supporting students throughout clinical education.
